Happy New Year!
And thank you to all those who have supported me this year.
Running for #parliament with the Westmorland and Lonsdale Conservatives was one of the highlights of 2024. Throughout the year I experienced highs as well as some lows. I supported one of my parents during their battle with cancer, continued to serve in the #armyreserve, volunteered as a #CommunityFirstResponder, and learned from refugees in #Uganda.
Reflecting as your #localcandidate, I am proud of the campaign we fought. We stood on a platform of #ambition, #service, and #action - Conservative values that drive real and lasting change.
As we look forward to 2025, the stakes could not be higher. Labour’s "plans", such as they are, have now been revealed.
No tax rises, right?
Their policies are born of envy and will bring economic decline, uncontrolled immigration and weaken our national defence. The UK is tangibly declining, at home and in our standing abroad...
And just ask Cumbria’s #farmers, #businessowners, #Waspiwomen, #students, and #Pensioners what they think. Do they feel supported? The answer…a deafening “No”.
Cumbria Conservatives will fight for Cumbria’s heart: its rural communities, families, farmers, natural environment, visitor economy, local businesses, and, of course, you.
And don’t let frustration lead you to Reform. It will not provide answers. They are a business in search of subscribers - not members...
We need security at home, strength abroad, and leadership in the face of rising threats. Do you trust #Labour to safeguard our interests and our economic future? The answer is clear and the need to change is urgent.
